Stereotypes 1L 2015/2016

Watch the following videos with sound and then react. What do you think is the consequence of such adverts, if any? Give your opinion, but don't make long sentences, be concise and react to what the others say! (and don't forget to use what we said in class about the stereotypes)

I think these ads show stereotypes in the society, power for men and pink for girls and that's the same way evry christmas

it was ironic, these commercials show us what to do. if you a boy you are play to do war and if you are a girl you play to be a mother. it's tidy up us in box

And how do you think children react when they see this type of ads? And parents?

this ad it's a stereotype about little girl because show her when she play with a doll and lot of things are pink

children don't understand that it's stereotype and the parent don't react because they to make their children happy

And do you think these ads are efficient? try to keep writing answers that are not too long, but with arguments in them...
What are the main differences between the ads for the boys and the ads for the girls?

Of course, if I could I would have wish for Christmas the barbie who change her hair color, I thought it was interessing to create a family with dolls , then, the day after, I spoke and played with dolls with my girls friends while men were playing with cards or cars, that made differences at school

I think otherwise boys didn't have some heroes figurine and girls little baby.
the ads for boy is on the war or on the super heroes. The ads for a girl prepare her to be a mother.

And do you think it's still like this today? for children?

These ads are efficient, toys are updated every year and kids are impressed when they're looking the TV

personally, i don't think there's toys for girls or for boys , i had a knight costume when i was 6 and my brother had a sewing machine...

yes, because i see my little brother that he want a spider-man figurine or a laser gun and little girl in his school with a doll.

sexe equality, a men can cook and i always find funny that's in the house, men think that it's to his wife to cook but in the restaurant they are more of men cooker

Well, Valentin, what did YOU play with when you were a child?

i'm not sure  those adds are good things, we should let the children choose what they want if they want, why there's never a boy in an add for a doll?
